Even though these are most likely independent entities, they make a nice pair. One pipe, capped at both ends with seemingly no outlet or input, one striving for ground but suspended frustratingly close to contact with an up-reaching partner. Or surely it was once complete- a hitching post for a wild bicycle which broke free only to be shackled to a nearby signpost.

Great find, thanks for sharing. Since the pipe break is at bumper height, I\'d wager it was a truck that broke it. And the capped pipe is likely an old mast to mount a (long gone) communications antenna onto.
